Call 061 (24hr helpline) for urgent help. You can speak with a psychologist by phone, and they can send an ambulance if needed. Interpretation is available in many languages, including English.

CSMA

The CSMA (Centre de Salut Mental d’Adults) is a public and free mental health service in Girona that provides specialized care for adults with psychiatric conditions and/or behavioral disorders. Normally, you need a referral from a doctor to access this service. Phone; 972 21 22 66

The CSMIJ (Centre de Salut Mental Infantil i Juvenil) offers mental health care for children and teenagers. Phone: 972 18 90 42

Samaritans

Samaritans in Spain: a helpline of volunteers who are trained to listen to people in times of crisis or in need of support. Their helpline is available from 10 am to midnight every day. All support is offered in English.

If you need support later than midnight, you can call the UK Samaritans. There's a small charge for overseas numbers, but it's small, and they will answer 24/7.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous have some online groups in English and a face-to-face group. Call +34 626923752. The girona group meets on Wednesday 7pm at Sagrat Cor church , C/ de l’Albereda.

Age in Spain

Age in Spain is a charity that supports English-speaking people aged 50 and over living in Spain. They can direct individuals to specialist mental health services and organisations where available.[1] See https://ageinspain.org/

Friendline, a free phone service from Age in Spain, is for people aged 60 and up who feel isolated or want to expand their social network.
