Girona Centre Eix Comercial[edit]

Girona Centre Eix Comercial (Girona Centre Commercial Axis in English) is the main association in Girona representing Girona’s shops.[1] It brings together over 200 shops in the historic centre and Eixample.[1] The association was founded in 1998.[1] Its mission is to promote and revitalise Girona’s urban commerce while acting as the official link between merchants, local authorities, and other institutions.[1] Beyond business, Girona Centre Eix Comercial also contributes to Girona’s social and cultural life by supporting community projects. “Eix” means “axis” or “hub". “Eix Comercial” is often used across Catalonia to describe a network or association of local shops that work together to promote urban commerce.
