Where to sell or donate clothes[edit]
- You can take clothes to Roba Amiga who will sell or recycle them. There are two Roba Amiga shops in Girona: Passeig d'Olot, 58 and Carrer Ferran Agulló, 10.
- Roba Amiga also have donation bins around Girona. These are big orange bins with "roba amiga" on them. You can put clothes and shoes in them. For a map showing the locations of all Roba Amiga bins in Girona, go to https://www.robaamiga.cat/es/haz-renacer-tu-ropa/el-contenedor-naranja.

- Càritas is a charity in Spain that supports people in poverty, social exclusion, and vulnerability. They accept donations of used clothes and toys, which can be dropped off at Carrer de Campcardós, 3, 17006 Girona.
- Vinted.es is a website for buying and selling used clothes,
- H&M will give you a €5 voucher for every bag of clothes or shoes you donate.[1] The nearest H&M to Girona is in Espai Gironès.
- Cool Factory Girona is a trendy second-hand clothes shop in the Barri Vell. Bring your old clothes and the shop will give you "cool points" you can use to exchange for more clothes. Carrer del Nord, 6.
- Overland Running Provisions accepts donations of used running shoes, which they will give to projects in Uganda, for example.[2] Carrer de les Ballesteries, 8, 17004.
Where to sell or donate books[edit]
- Re-Read will buy used books for 25 cents. However, they are picky about the books they buy. They will turn down books that are damaged or they think won't sell (which is most books). 4 Carrer de les Ballesteries.
Re-Read - Biblioteca Carles Rahola has a punt d'intercanvi de llibres near the entrance. You can donate books by simply leaving them there. However, the books must be in good condition and cannot be encyclopedias.
Book exchange shelves at Carles Rahola library - The Banc del Temps (Time Bank) have a WhatsApp group called Temps per llibres where you can exchange books with other Time Bank members, or "sell" your books in exchange for minutes to use at the Time Bank.[3]
- El Petit CAM is a book-sharing box outside EOI Girona where anyone can take or leave books.[4] It was created on 2 October 2018[4]. It is part of the Little Free Library network (see littlefreelibrary.org) whose motto is "Take a book, share a book.". The front of the box has a plaque in memory of Roger Alsina, a French teacher at the EOI.[4]

- If you have a foldable table, you can set up a stall for free at the Fontajau second-hand market. Takes place once a year in June at Rambla Xavier Cugat.[5]
