Piscines Municipals d'Estiu is a public swimming pool in Zona Esportiva la Devesa. Only open during summer.[1]. The swimming pool is big, measuring 33 × 25 m.[2] However, people do NOT use it for swimming, as it is always too crowded and full of people. Rather people use it to cool down in the summer.

Tennis Taula Girona[edit]
Tennis Taula Girona is the main table tennis club in Girona.[8] It trains and competes out of the Pavelló Municipal Girona–Fontajau (Av. Josep Terradellas, 22).[8] The club welcomes players from childhood through adulthood.[8] They organise activities including open tournaments such as the annual “Open Internacional Ciutat de Girona” and the “Open Kids – Fires de Girona,” as well as summer camps and holiday camps.[8] Its teams compete in leagues and competitions.
Joining Tennis Taula Girona is straightforward: fill out a registration form at the start of each season and choose the programme that suits your age and playing level.[8]

Outdoor fitness parks[edit]
Girona has several outdoor fitness parks. These are small circuits of simple machines designed for older adults to maintain mobility, strength, balance, and coordination. Exercises are very basic and the equipment is low-intensity. Younger people are unlikely to find them useful for fitness.

Girona also has a callisthenics park (parc de cal·listènia) in La Devesa.[11] Callisthenics is a style of exercise using body weight, with a mix of static, dynamic, and acrobatic movements. The park includes an abdominal bench, parallel bars, pull-up bars, balance beams, and a full workout station.[11] Camp de Mart, La Devesa.
University of Girona Sports Services / Servei d'Esports[edit]
The Universitat de Girona has a sports complex on its Montilivi Campus. It includes football pitches, basketball courts, volleyball courts, paddle courts, and tennis courts.[12]
The sports complex is next to, but not part of, the Girona F.C. stadium.
How to reserve:
- To reserve the paddle and tennis courts, you must use the Reserva Play app.[12]
- To reserve football pitches, basketball courts, and volleyball courts, call 972 41 80 60 or go in person to the offices located in the Montilivi Campus sports area. It costs €60 to book a football pitch for an hour, or €20 if half or more of your group are UdG members.[13]

Girona FC[edit]
Girona Futbol Club, S.A.D. (commonly known as Girona FC) is a professional football club in Girona. Founded on 23 July 1930, the club currently plays in La Liga, having secured promotion via the 2022 Segunda División play-offs.[15]
Girona FC holds its home matches at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi, often simply referred to as Estadi Montilivi. Opened in 1970, it became the club’s stadium after replacing their previous ground, Vista Alegre.[16] The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 14,624.[16] It is owned and operated by the Ajuntament de Girona.[16] Estadi Montilivi is located in the south-east of Girona, roughly 2.5 km from the railway station and city centre, making it easily reachable on foot, by public transport, or by car.[17]
Montilivi was inaugurated on 14 August 1970 and has undergone several expansions and renovations over the years, including capacity increases in 2017 and 2022.[16] In 2012, the city council granted Girona FC usage of the stadium through a concession lasting 30 years, extendable to 50.[16] The team's rise to La Liga triggered further modernization works, such as installing hybrid turf and expanding seating in the Gol Norte and Preferente sections, as well as adding VIP boxes and new press facilities.[18]

- The oldest skateboarding park in Girona is Skatepark Domeny (also known as Skatepart Fontajau).[26] It is next to Pavelló Girona-Fontajau (Avinguda del President Josep Tarradellas i Joan, 22, 24, 17007 Girona). Girona Training[edit]
An outdoor boot camp every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. They meet behind Parc de la Devesa, at the small basketball court just outside the main basketball stadium. It costs €25/month for four sessions a week. On Thursdays, they sometimes add a run up to the cathedral steps. The sessions are led by Jordi Gonzales, who also organizes local trail runs. He brings resistance bands (like TRX) to the classes, and all you need to bring is a yoga mat and some water.
